Sattu Paratha
Protein-packed sattu paratha using Nandi Chana Sattu and Nandi Atta. Stuffed with a tangy, spiced sattu filling with onion and lemon. A Bihar-UP specialty that is both filling and nutritious. Great for lunch boxes.
Ingredients
- Nandi Atta (2 cups)
- Nandi Chana Sattu (1 cup)
- Onion, finely chopped (1)
- Green chilli (2, chopped)
- Lemon juice (1 tbsp)
- Mustard oil (1 tbsp)
- Nandi Rock Salt to taste
Steps
- Mix sattu with onion, chilli, lemon juice, oil and Nandi Rock Salt to make filling.
- Knead soft atta dough, divide into balls.
- Stuff each ball with sattu filling, roll gently.
- Cook on hot tawa with ghee till golden on both sides.
Kitchen Tips
Don't make the sattu filling too wet. Use mustard oil in the filling for authentic flavour. Serve with pickle and yogurt.
