Butter Naan
Soft, buttery naan using Nandi Maida. Ultra-fine milled flour gives the perfect texture, soft inside with charred spots outside. No tandoor needed, this stovetop version is restaurant-quality at home.
Ingredients
- Nandi Maida (2 cups)
- Yogurt (1/4 cup)
- Baking powder (1/2 tsp)
- Sugar (1 tsp)
- Nandi Rock Salt (1/2 tsp)
- Oil (1 tbsp)
- Butter (for brushing)
Steps
- Mix maida, baking powder, sugar, Nandi Rock Salt. Add yogurt and knead soft dough.
- Rest for 2 hours covered with a damp cloth.
- Divide into balls, roll into oval shapes.
- Cook on hot tawa or grill, brush with butter and garlic.
Kitchen Tips
Rest the dough for at least 2 hours for soft naans. Use a cast iron tawa for best charring. Brush generously with garlic butter.
