Crispy Pakoras
Hot and crispy onion pakoras using Nandi Besan. Low oil-absorb besan ensures lighter, crunchier pakoras every time. Perfect monsoon snack with a cup of masala chai. Made from premium chana dal for maximum flavour.
Ingredients
- Nandi Besan (1 cup)
- Onion, sliced (2)
- Green chilli (2)
- Coriander leaves (handful)
- Nandi Red Chilli Powder (1/2 tsp)
- Nandi Turmeric Powder (1/4 tsp)
- Nandi Rock Salt to taste
- Baking soda (a pinch)
- Oil for frying
Steps
- Mix besan with all spices.
- Add onions, chillies and coriander.
- Add very little water to make a thick batter.
- Drop spoonfuls into hot oil and fry till crispy and golden.
Kitchen Tips
Use Nandi Besan for low oil absorption. Batter should be thick, not runny. Fry on medium heat for even cooking.
