Rich and aromatic sooji halwa recipe using Nandi Sooji. Made from Sharbati wheat semolina, this dessert has extra soft granules with incredible freshness. Slow-roasted in ghee with cardamom and saffron for a melt-in-your-mouth halwa.

  1. Heat ghee in a pan.
  2. Roast sooji on medium flame till golden and fragrant.
  3. Add water carefully (it will splutter), stir continuously.
  4. Add sugar and cardamom. Stir till thick.
  5. Garnish with nuts and serve warm.

Kitchen Tips

Roast sooji on low-medium flame for even golden colour. Add saffron soaked in warm milk for a richer flavour. Serve warm for best taste.
