Jeera Aloo
Simple yet delicious jeera aloo using Nandi Coriander Powder and Nandi Turmeric. Boiled potatoes tossed with cumin, chilli, and coriander. A 15-minute side dish that goes with everything from puris to dal-chawal.
Ingredients
- Potato (3 medium, boiled and cubed)
- Nandi Coriander Powder (1 tsp)
- Nandi Turmeric Powder (1/4 tsp)
- Nandi Red Chilli Powder (1/4 tsp)
- Cumin seeds (1 tsp)
- Oil or ghee (1.5 tbsp)
- Nandi Rock Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves
Steps
- Heat oil. Crackle cumin seeds.
- Add boiled potato cubes. Toss on medium heat for 2 minutes.
- Add Nandi Coriander Powder, Nandi Turmeric, Nandi Red Chilli and salt.
- Cook for 3 to 4 minutes till slightly crispy. Garnish with fresh coriander.
Kitchen Tips
Use slightly mashed potatoes for a different texture. Cumin should be well-crackled before adding potatoes. Add amchoor for tanginess.
